1. Why the homeowner called? 

The homeowner called because there were stains on the ceiling, an odor in the attic, and the roof boards were wet!

2. What We Found Upon Arrival: 

• The house was over insulated & was sweating
• Black mold was on the roof
• Roof bands were wet & also stained

3. What we did: 

• Our team first stripped the roof. Then we removed the roof boards and insulation and treated it for carpenter ants.
• We then installed new sheathing on the roof.
• Installed roof louvers (vents) on several areas of the roof for ventilation
• Installed soffit vents for ventilation
• The shingles installed were Landmark Pro Burnt Sienna

4. Project Overview: 

• Inadequate ventilation was the main issue with the home
• The homeowner had insulation blown into the attic 10 years ago and the house has been sweating ever since
• We added intake air (soffit/vents) and outgoing air roof louvers to the roof!
